Timer Type Battery Chargers
The battery is repeatedly charged then recharged after use ( Discharged). It is the most common method of battery charging.
Standby Use:
Power is usually supplied to the load from an AC source, and the battery is used to maintain the power supply to the load if the AC source is cut due to black outs or other such event
Cycle (Repeated) Use 1 to 2 hours -DV cut-off charge
dT/dt cut-off charge
Timer controlled charge:6 to 8 hours
Semi-constant current charge: 15 hours
Trickle charge: Standby Use-30 hours or longer
Cautions
- If the charge conditions are not appropriate, not only will the battery be unable to perform fully, but also it may have a decrease in its service life and in extreme cases may cause damage to the appliance due to electrolyte leakage, etc. Take into consideration the type of battery, discharge state, charge current and ambient temperature when selecting the appropriate method of charging.
- As the cell temperature and voltage behavior vary depending on the shape, cell number and cell arrangement of the pack, please contact us concerning the charge control value. Also, Ni-Cd batteries and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries can be used together in the same device, but please contact us concerning the charge control value.
